I can not imagine how they did this task in the 1960’s when the highways were barely built. Can you imagine having to haul a load of goods across the United States without any good highway system? Commercial truck drivers have such an easier time with their road trip planning today. That would have been one heck of a task. Forget about traveling across the country on a family trip for that matter. It must have been so hard to be able to do this task. But with the Internet today and the ease of maps it is just so much easier now.
