I finally talked myself into the long, hard task of comparing new computers and negotiating with sales people.  Eventually I got the laptop then realized my dial up connection was too slow.  By that time there was no way I was going to do any more shopping, but I knew I needed to somehow compare before making a choice.  A friend suggested I shop online, at a site which provided reviews of providers.  I did that and was impressed by a post office broadband review.  I ordered service online and was hooked up in no time at all, despite my original doubts.
