I’m looking for a spectacular Christmas present for my niece.   She’s been through a rough time recently, and has some severe self-esteem issues.   In that light, I wanted to get her something that will help her feel like she belongs.  I know that, ultimately, she’s going to have to deal with her self-esteem issues from an emotional point of view, but if wearing the “right” shoes gives her a little more confidence, and helps her ability to approach her problems, I don’t see the harm in that.  I’ve been scouring the Internet for a good deal on skate shoes.  Apparently it’s what all the kids are wearing, so I’m sure I’ll find a good deal if I look hard enough!
