My husband is a workaholic. For the past three years, he has been promising that we will all take a nice family vacation somewhere exciting and then cancelled it at the last minute because “something came up” at work. I told him flat out, if you make one more promise about a vacation to our kids, I will personally see to it nothing CAN “come up” if I have to throw your cell, blackberry, and computer in the pool. He has booked us flights to Magaluf on Majorca for next month. Now we need to find some nice accommodation in magaluf.

I am writing this as we relax near the crackling fireplace with glasses of wine. It is a lovely evening and my husband and I are relaxing after a great day out hiking and enjoying the beautiful weather and surroundings. We have been here on our vacation for four days and we do feel very relaxed and happy to be away from home for a week. My husband and I are celebrating our fifth anniversary with a trip, just the two of us. We have always wanted to go to California so that is where we are going. I have been wondering what our options are for hotels in Los Angeles. We are not planning on spending a lot of time in our hotel room because we would rather do a lot of sight seeing.
