Lessons From a Wise Traveler

Travel No Comments »

Once I  worked for a very wealthy man who traveled.  As his administrative assistant, I traveled, too.  It  was wonderful learning from this successful man’s business experience, but learning to travel was a bonus.  My employer had been  traveling his entire life and had circled the globe ten times.  I learned one suitcase of clothes can take you anywhere, if they’re the  right ones.  He explained where the best food, cities, and hotels were.  The number one lesson he taught me was the value of planning, in business or travel.  I found that wise travelers buy tickets, accommodations, and cheap travel insurance online.  Most of all I got to see the world through the eyes of someone who knew it well, and that was invaluable.

North Pacific Costa Rica Property Is a Beautiful Place To Call Home

I have been a surgeon for over thirty years, and since I lived in a rainy state, I wanted to spend my retirement somewhere warm and sunny. I also wanted to experience a different culture and pace, so we started considering buying some North Pacific Costa Rica Property. My wife and I had been there many years ago, and we were very fond of the area. We ended up buying a beautiful condominium with an ocean view, and now we live there for nine months out of the year. It’s like being on vacation every day, but at the end of the day I realize that it’s my home!

There are all kind of travelers on the road today. For many reasons too. What about team players on a team. Do you think they do Sports Travel? They sure do. It is a very popular thing for them. They do it all the time. All the different sports and all the different teams travel. They obviously have to play other team members that are located in different areas. They usually take a big bus together. That is how they get to the locations that they are going to. The next time you see a big bus, it may be a team of players.

A Secret Of Cheap Travel

Travel No Comments »

There are many little secrets to cheap travel, but applying one basic concept will make all your traveling less expensive. It is the idea of being a “travel opportunist.” This is best suited to those who love to travel almost anywhere interesting and don’t mind a bit of unpredictability. In other words it is meant for more adventurous travelers.

What does it mean to be a “travel opportunist?” It means you go where it is cheap, when it is cheap, and engage in the activities that cost less. This may sound limiting, but it isn’t. Every country is cheaper to travel to at times, depending on currency exchange rates, economic conditions, and airfare variations. And whether mountain climbing or taking a cruise, there are times when business is slow and prices are dropped. Take advantage of lower prices and you get more travel for your money.

Hotel Deals In Spain

I have been working with a travel agency for about five years now and really love my job.  I get to meet a lot of interesting and nice people while finding the best travel arrangements for them that I can.  A lady came in the other day and wanted to get some information about a trip to Spain.  She and her husband wanted to take a seven day vacation and they wanted to know what kind of hotel deals I could find for them.  I let her know that we have the best packages and tours around and I was sure that I would be able to find them something they would be happy with.

The American Colony Hotel in Jerusalem

Aaahhh…The American Colony Hotel. It’s not just a hotel in Jerusalem, it’s also a historical site. That is why I feel so lucky to be staying here. The story of the hotel is actually interesting. It was actually originally owned by a wealthy man named Rabbah Daoud Amin Effendi al-Husseini to house his four wives. After he died, the place was bought by a group of Christians lead by a man from Chicago with his wife. This man, along with two Swedish settlers, soon later formed the American Colony. A few years later, a hotelier asked the new owners to house his guests visiting Jerusalem. That marked the beginning of turning the building into a hotel.

We Know All the Cheap Hotels in Durban

My sister and I go on holiday every year, and most years we either go to Durban or Cape Town. There are good things about both places. In Cape Town we meet a lot of foreign tourists, which is fun, but it’s really fake for the tourists. In Durban, it’s more local and not so fake, but we don’t make as many foreign friends. Since we went to Cape Town last year, this year we’re taking our holiday in Durban. We know a few good, cheap hotels in Durban, so we’ll make calls to them until we find one with availability. After that, it’s sun bathing on the Mile.

Survival Kits

There are several kinds of survival kits for hiking, backpacking and other wilderness activities. You can carry many heavier items, for example, if you are in a vehicle or using pack animals. Splints in case of broken bones, emergency blankets, extra food and more is possible. For backpacking you need to keep the kit lighter, of course. One other kind of survival kit you should consider is a flat light kit that fits in your pocket. Matches, aspirin, a bandage, a foot of duct tape and a few fishhooks can be packed very small. The idea here is that you will almost always have your clothes with you, so that even if your pack is dragged away by animals or lost in a river crossing, you have some useful supplies.
