I used to love going to shops with all sorts of odds and ends. I especially liked military surplus stores and antique stores because it was like a search for treasure. My mom knew that if she wanted to keep us occupied for a while she could take us to one of these stores. Most of the time we wouldn’t be able to buy anything, but it was still fun to look.
