I will be relocating to the state of Texas in the near future due to a job transfer.  I have never lived in a different state other than New York.  I am requesting information that will pertain to auto insurance Texas 123.

Q.  What are the minimum requirements for coverage?

A.  The most basic coverage is $25,000/$50,000 bodily injury liability and property liability limit is $25,000.  These amounts were changed in 2008.

Q.  Is there a requirement to obtain Uninsured/Underinsured coverage in addition to liability?

A.  In Texas, this additional coverage is optional but do suggest that the purchase of this valuable coverage be considered.
